By air: Fly non-stop to Dominica (DOM) from Newark, NJ (EWR) on United Airlines or Miami, FL (MIA) on American Airlines. Other international flights from the US, Canada and Europe connect to the island through regional hubs in Antigua, Barbados, St. Maarten, Guadeloupe, Martinique and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Regional connecting flights into Dominica are operated by interCaribbean, LIAT20, Caribbean Airlines, WinAir or Sunrise Airways.
By sea: A 300-seat catamaran operated by L’Express des Îles ferries passengers between Dominica, Guadeloupe, Martinique and St. Lucia. Every year, hundreds of thousands of visitors arrive to the island on cruise ships berthed at the Bayfront, Woodbridge Bay and Cabrits. Captains of yachts and sailboats can also anchor their private boat at designated spots, checking in with customs and immigration on arrival.
Immigration officials require most visitors to Dominica to present a valid passport on arrival. All visitors must show a return ticket and some may be required to present a visa. Visitors from certain of countries, who intend to stay for 21 days or less, do not require a visa. Please consult a verified immigration resource for complete entry requirements.
Check-in time is at 3:00 pm and checkout is at 12:00 pm. Guests requiring late checkout are asked to contact the Front Desk prior to the day of checkout.
Fort Mountain View Room, Fort Ocean View Rooms, Oceanfront Rooms, Deluxe Oceanfront Rooms and Junior Oceanfront Suites may have 1 king or 2 double beds. Oceanfront Suites each have 1 King bed.
The hotel is on the city waterfront overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Snorkeling, kayaking and shore diving are available off the Fort Young dock. The nearest sandy beach is 20 minutes away.
The Fort Young is ideally located at the waterfront on the edge of the capital. Roseau is a quaint town featuring busy streets and French colonial architecture. The Roman Catholic Cathedral, National Museum & Old Market, Saturday Market, Botanical Gardens and other popular cityscapes are all within walking distance from the resort. Morne Bruce is the site of several historical fort buildings and a large cross and cannon overlooking the city and southern coastline. Trafalgar Falls, Titou Gorge, the Freshwater Lake and the trailhead to the Boiling Lake are iconic natural attraction all within 15 minutes drive from the hotel and the best scuba diving and snorkeling sites are 15 minutes by boat from our jetty.
It is a 5 minute walk to the center of Roseau.
