Curtain Bluff is an elegant, yet unpretentious haven that retains much of its original old-world, Colonial charm.
Curtain Bluff is an elegant, yet unpretentious haven that retains much of its original old-world, Colonial charm. Set on a peninsula, it boasts fifteen acres of gardens and beaches, two of which are reef-protected. Spacious rooms and suites are spread across the bluff, capitalising on the cooling breezes and spectacular vista - each is so spacious you could happily spend a whole afternoon up there; Junior Suites feature striking sunken living rooms and are ideal for families; the Morris Bay and Grace Bay Suites include four-poster beds and balcony Jacuzzis, while the appropriately named Terrace Suite boasts amazing views across the bay. Deliberately designed with serenity in mind, the guest rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi but not televisions, although there is a well-stocked entertainment room.

Located just a stone’s throw from the water on the resort’s surf beach are our 17 ground floor junior suites. The serene interiors are outfitted in soft blues and greens that mirror the adjacent water, which glitters through the floor-to-ceiling glass doors. Grand marble and white-tile bathrooms feature double sinks, expansive soaking tubs and large, open-walled showers.
Our ground floor junior suites contain one king bed, which can be converted to two twin beds.
Accessible via a flight of stairs, our 23 junior suites are situated on the second and third stories of two villas on the resort’s surf beach. Coastal interiors inspired by our natural surroundings are bordered by floor-to-ceiling glass doors that invite you to take in the sea views from your private terrace. Roomy bathrooms feature double sinks, large tubs, and open-walled rainforest-style showers. Our junior suites contain one king bed, which can be converted to two twin beds.
Housed in a Caribbean-style villa, our nine ground floor deluxe rooms open directly onto our surf beach and are just a short walk down a shaded pathway from the bar and restaurant. As you step through the large sliding doors, you’ll be greeted by traditional West-Indian style decor, contemporary dark wood furniture and colorful accents that evoke the spirit of the islands. Our deluxe rooms contain a king-size bed, which can be converted to two twin beds.
Curtain Bluff’s most affordable accommodations, our nine upper level deluxe rooms offer the ideal mix of value and comfort. Housed on the second floor of a Caribbean-style villa overlooking our surf beach, these accommodations put you within easy reach of the sun and sand with quick access to our bar and restaurant. All upper level deluxe rooms feature spacious private verandas with sweeping views of the sea and the distant headland.Our deluxe rooms contain a king-size bed, which can be converted to two twin beds.
Experience blufftop luxury from the comfort of our newly renovated bluff rooms. Each room features a king-size bed, freestanding tub, large terrace with daybed and incredible views of the turquoise waters below. For families requiring two bedrooms, the bluff room can be added to a one-bedroom bluff suite.
Overlooking our surf beach from their perch atop the bluff are our five one- and two-bedroom bluff suites. These light and airy rooms are split across three spacious levels outfitted with natural wood and sea-grass furniture. The three-walled living room offers the best of indoor-outdoor living, opening onto a garden patio with relaxing hammock where you’ll enjoy dozing off to the sound of the waves. Upstairs, you’ll find a breakfast nook and dining terrace, beyond which is the bedroom with an ensuite bath and adjoining oceanfront patio.
This pair of generously scaled suites occupies the third floor of a Caribbean-style villa directly on the sands of the resort’s surf beach. Both suites are luxuriously outfitted with blue-marble bathrooms, colonial furniture, richly colored fabrics and lush palms. The bedroom and adjoining living room open onto a sweeping veranda with lounge chairs and a private plunge pool, the perfect site for private sunbathing or romantic cocktails under the stars. The Grace & Morris Bay suites can be linked to a junior suite to create a two-bedroom suite. Extended groups and families can reserve the entire floor (four bedrooms).
Our terrace suite’s secluded location at the top of the bluff and breathtaking views of the sea below make it the most popular choice for newlyweds. White walls, sea-blue fabrics, bespoke furnishings and rich, natural woods give the room a sense of calm and timeless sophistication. Its 567-square-foot terrace with infinity-edge plunge pool and comfortable daybed is your private sanctuary for intimate relaxation and dining.
Tucked into the hillside, our cliff suite features a spacious living room that opens onto a large patio with an infinity soaking pool and unobstructed views of Grace Bay beach. Its separate bedroom is elegantly appointed with a king-size bed, marble bathroom and second terrace overlooking the surf beach.
Guests must complete theoretical classes and the pool sessions prior to arriving at Curtain Bluff. We do not offer either of these parts of the PADI certification.
The hotel offers the Open water dive portion of the PADI certification for a cost of $450 per person. There is a minimum age for participation and all services must be pre-booked and confirmed by the resort prior to arrival.
Take a break from the waves with a pick-up game on our half basketball court, which is stocked with balls and fully lit for evening play. Up for trying something new? Grab a paddle and hit the pickleball court or break a sweat under the A/C in a game of squash.
If lounging in the shade is a bit low-key for your tastes, our extensive selection of water sports ensures an all-day lineup of fun in the sun. All water sports are included in the room rate so you can dive, board, cruise and paddle to your heart’s content.
For all bookings in 2021, the Cee Bee Kids Camp will require a minimum of 3 children between the ages of 3 and 10 years in resort in order to operate.
Planning the perfect family vacation is a delicate balancing act. On one side of the scale, there’s the too-rigid itinerary that leaves kids feeling dragged along on mom and dad’s stuffy trip. On the other side, there’s the circus-like amusement park experience that leaves parents feeling anything but recharged. Curtain Bluff strikes the perfect balance between both sides, with ample activities to keep kids entertained yet within sight of the nearest hammock (which is conveniently serviced by a friendly beach concierge).
